Submit your sessions for Drupalcon Denver

I don't know of anyone who doesn't procrastinate... Even just a little.

I won't share the exact number here, but we have found a huge percentage of Drupalcon session submissions are submitted right before the deadline. Some have said "That's the Drupal community!" Frankly, this is driving me crazy!

If you've been following my posts about Drupalcon Denver, you already know that I'm the local volunteer for content, tracks, etc. All of the folks who are local and global track chairs are dedicated to putting on the best Drupalcon ever... and the basis of every great Drupalcon is great sessions.

We've got some amazing keynote speakers:

  • Mitchell Baker, the Chairperson of the Mozilla Foundation
  • Dries Buytaert with his always insightful "State of Drupal" observations and challenges
  • Luke Wroblewski, an engaging speaker and author on designing for the mobile platform.

You'll also see fantastic featured speakers for each of our tracks. Drupalcon Denver will have more sessions to attend than any previous Drupalcon.

Yet, we all know that there are so many topics not yet covered in our submitted sessions... So many engaging speakers within and outside the Drupal community that we want to hear from... So many panel discussions that have not been submitted.

If you can say "yes" to any of these questions, you might want to submit a session at http://denver2012.drupal.org:

  • Have you ever presented at Drupalcon before?
  • Have you never presented at Drupalcon before? (We want to encourage new faces and topics.)
  • Have you done something innovative with Drupal?
  • Can you give perspective on using Drupal vs. other technologies?
  • Are you involved in contributing technologies (php, apache, etc.)?
  • Had a project go very well or very badly (that you'd be willing to share)?

Please don't take me the wrong way. We already have great session submissions. The session selection process will be very competitive. But we feel that the community can do more.

And one more thing... Please do not wait until the last minute!
