Rebranding and Rethinking

August 5, 2008 | Preston So

As Monarch Digital continues to develop its online presence, our vision has changed toward a more refined audience. Recently we chose to redesign the website as well as the company's identity to better serve this objective. The brand was entirely rethought in order to better reflect the corporate nature of our future business.

The new Monarch Digital logo

The "beach ball" logo above was conceived by Preston and Matthew. A brand was created that exemplified the nature of Monarch Digital's new clientele—larger websites providing more services. This was imperative as our projects (including a proposed regional social network) grow grander in scale.

Meanwhile, a site redesign fitting the brand was required to sufficiently convey Monarch's upgraded vision. A more variegated color scheme and unusual and unique touches (such as textures) show both Monarch's personality as well as its versatility in design.

With this new brand and a fully redone website (rethought, per Jason Santa Maria), we're aiming to cater to a growing number of people in Colorado as well as the Rocky Mountain region. Tell us what you think about the changes.
