Every time we do a video, we are targeting multiple venues.
When I talk to most baby-boomer business owners, I can always elicit an emotional reaction when I suggest that they blog on their web site. The reaction is traditionally fear:
It is completely counter-intuitive: Give stuff away and you’ll make more money. That’s how the web has turned economies upside down. My challenge is to convince business people like me that this system actually works.
In my previous post, I talked about how we use Gmail as a low cost, no maintenance email client.
Gmail has recently added the final feature to make it a great email client.
You have been able to set up Gmail to retrieve email from your personal or business domain and send it as if it was coming from your own domain. However, in email clients (like Outlook), the recipient would see a message showing your gmail address and then “Sent on behalf of yourname@yourdomain.com”.
You don’t want people seeing that information. It’s just confusing.
How did I ever become a salesman for Google? I know they don’t need me selling for them, but I know it’s best for my clients (and me).
As part of implementing a new web site for small and medium-sized customers, we always reevaluate how email is being handled.
We have been leveraging some powerful traffic-building techniques for our customers. I recently shared these techniques with our existing customers.
The topics turned out to be so popular, I thought I’d share it with everyone here.
