The design of the STEMWorks web site is inviting, but extremely clear.
STEMWorks matches mentors with students (or proteges). This site has a discussion area where mentors and students can talk, but the great thing about this ‘chat room feel’ is that it’s safe.

Making a site attractive to students, teachers, parents and business leaders
As a part of the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, the BETR Project provides a bridge between the world of education and the world of work. The site must appeal to:
- Middle and high school students
- Teachers and parents
- Business leaders of all ages
The site’s design is inviting, yet uncluttered. Much of the content in the site are videos, so the design must not detract from the overarching message of the various videos.
