As I write this, we are that close to releasing our final schedule for DrupalCon Denver. Believe me, you just can't have enough attention to detail at this point.

As I have written previously, DrupalCon Denver has something for everyone, but the flip side of that coin is that each track is targeted to a specific audience. If possible, I intend to highlight each track up until DrupalCon Denver itself.

Blog posts drive traffic

It is difficult to write blog posts. Frankly, it can be difficult to write, period. Like a doctor suggesting that you should lose weight or exercise, I get the "Yea, I know" response from my general business customers when I suggest that they write regular blog posts.

Something for Everyone at Drupalcon Denver

To my friends and customers:

Along with many people in the Colorado Drupal community, I have been working very hard to bring the very best, from nitty-gritty coding to enterprise web strategy, to Drupalcon Denver. Here, I'm going to tell you why so many of the people I know could hook up with sessions and content that you will be able to immediately use when you return to work.

Are you a business person who has a Drupal site or wants perspective on website alternatives?

I can't believe that I haven't blogged about Drupalcon Denver since November 13. Let me catch you up and tell you what I had meant to blog about.

Sudo Make me a DrupalCon

"Sudo make me a DrupalCon." If it were only that simple.

Around our house, "Sudo, make me a sandwich" will always evoke a smile. Unless you know Linux, you don't get it. As Noam Cohen wrote "Analyzing this joke is like dissecting a frog, it can be done, but the frog dies."

Here, I've informally taken on the role of documenting the organizational and people-oriented side of putting on a Drupalcon, specifically Drupalcon Denver. I didn't write last week as, well, things were up in the air.

I don't know of anyone who doesn't procrastinate... Even just a little.

I won't share the exact number here, but we have found a huge percentage of Drupalcon session submissions are submitted right before the deadline. Some have said "That's the Drupal community!" Frankly, this is driving me crazy!

Drupalcon Denver: Kicking Butt... Nicely

Putting on a 5-day North American user conference of between 3,000 and 4,000 attendees is a huge endevor. The details are overwhelming. The amount of work is intimidating. Now, imagine that most of your labor consists of volunteers. This is Drupalcon.

I remember a church leader saying that he was happy if anything happened, even if the project was done was completely wrong. At least something was happening. Kind of depressing, huh?

Last week, I went on my first cruise. It was tremendous fun. The weather was great, the food and drinks were tasty and, perhaps due to the the weather and cuisine, the people were great.
