The National Swimming Pool Foundation (NSPF) is the world's leading organization for training and certification of aquatic professionals. Their mission is to encourage healthy living by increasing aquatic activity through education and research.
The National Swimming Pool Foundation needed to update the ways in which they could reauthorize instructors. The method by which they had done this previously was to have the user download a PDF, print it, sign it, and then send it back. As you could imagine this becomes problematic in a world that utilizes technology so extensively. That is just too many steps.
As part of our project, Monarch Digital built an electronic signature application to allow users to safely and securely perform this process through the website. Once a signature is accepted the user will then purchase the license and a membership will be created. When the membership is near its expiration date, the user will be reminded through e-mail.
This system works much better than the old one in several ways, first it reduces steps needing to be done in a non-digital format, not only saving time for the end user but also the NSPF staff who will process this paperwork. Additionally, notifications are provided through email which has become essential and required for modern web applications.
